Do Yemen citizens Republic need a visa to visit Russia?

Russian visa regulations require that any citizen of the Republic of Yemen who wishes to travel to Russia must apply in person at the Embassy of the Russian Federation.

How to Get a Russian Visa in Yemen?

As part of the visa application procedure, applicants need to provide a completed visa application form, a full set of required documents and a visa application fee receipt. It is also necessary to present a visa support letter (invitation letter). This document must be obtained by the inviting person residing in Russia.

Different types of Russian visas should be used for different purposes. Each type of visa requires a specific formal invitation procedure to be completed. In most cases, the following visa types are used:

  • Tourist visa is intended for tourists coming to Russia for leisure purposes.
  • Business visa suits those business people overseas who own and manage a business and wish to explore new opportunities in Russia.
  • Private visa is designed for people wishing to visit their friends or family in Russia. Please keep in mind that we do not encourage you to apply for this type of visa, as the procedure is much too difficult and costly compared to the tourist visa, which can be a wiser choice for those who travel for these reasons.
  • Work visa is usually sought by skilled workers who are going through the employment process with a business established in Russia.

No particular design template exists for visa invitations, this is why each travel agency prints them on their letterheads and the design of each letter is different.

Tourist visa support letters consist of two parts — a tourist voucher and a tourist confirmation. This document must include the company's registration information and the invited person's details, including his/her itinerary, travel dates and the number of entries he/she requests.

Travel company is not authorized to conduct any checks, this is why having a visa invitation prepared doesn't mean the visa will be granted. When applying for a tourist visa, we advice foreign citizens to have flight tickets, confirmation of accommodation and medical insurance policy in hand. Additional documents may be requested in some cases.

Citizens of Yemen are eligible for tourist visas valid for 30 days or less. Tourist visas can be single- or double-entry.
