A properly prepared invitation letter consists of a tourist voucher and a confirmation of acceptance. It should be printed on the letterhead of the travel agency. The form must include information regarding the travel company: its official name, reference number and legal address. The traveller’s passport data as well as detailed information on what Russian cities he/she intends to visit and where he/she plans to stay must also be disclosed. Number of entries and duration of stay must be indicated, too.

Note that availability of a letter of invitation does not serve as a guarantee of visa issuance. Russian Private Visa for Philipino citizens

Private visa is necessary for citizens of the Philippines who would like to enter the Russian Federation with a purpose of visiting their relatives (or friends). In that case, the person related to the Philippines national should contact the local FMS office and submit the package of documents and application requesting issuance of a letter of invitation for private visa.

The package must include a copy of the Philippines national’s passport, proof of income and guarantee letter stating that the host assumes all expenses associated with the foreign citizen’s staying in the country. The invitation application may be processed for as long as one month. The host will be interviewed at the FMS office; it is important to give clear reasons why the citizen of Philippines has to come to Russia.

Organizations can also arrange private invitations in support of visa application. A single-entry visa application submitted by a legal entity can take up to 12 working days. A dual-entry visa application may take as long as 17 days to process. In the case of a favorable outcome, the letter of invitation issued on the government-approved form should be forwarded by express mail service to the Philippines.

Private visa for citizens of the Philippines may allow a single or double entry. It can be valid for a period of up to 90 days.

Russian Business Visa from Philippines

In order to be permitted entry to Russia to engage in business activities, a citizen of the Philippines must obtain a business visa. The letter of invitation for that type of visa must be prepared by the inviting party located in the Russian Federation. Business visa may be issued for a period from 30 days to 3 years. Work visa for Philipino citizens

To obtain a Russian visa in order to have the legal right to become employed and collect a salary, a citizen of the Philippines must obtain a work visa. It is impossible without assistance from the employer, located in Russia.

The employer should first obtain permission to hire foreign workers. Then he must obtain a work permit for the particular foreign employee and prepare a job offer for him/her. The process of issuing documents for work visa can take up to 1.5 months.

These documents should be sent to the citizen of the Philippines, who must then submit them as part of a package of documents attached to the application for work visa. In case of the positive decision, the visa will be issued for 3 months. During that time the foreign national must enter the Russian Federation, register with immigration authorities and extend the validity period of the visa for the duration of his/her work permit.

Work visa is the kind of visa which does not require leaving the country in order to extend it. It can be renewed for another year every year. The employer must attend all activities necessary to ensure legal status of the foreign worker: migration registration, visa renewal, etc.

Russian Electronic Visa from Philippines

An electronic visa (hereinafter referred to as "e-visa") is a new type of a visa document. A visa invitation to Russia is not required for obtaining an e-visa. To obtain an e-visa to Russia use our “E-visa to Russia” service.

An e-visa can be only single-entry. The permitted stay in Russia on an e-visa is up to 8 days from the date of entry within its validity period.

The validity period and/ or permitted stay on an e-visa cannot be extended. To obtain an e-visa a foreign citizen needs a digital passport photo and a completed application form containing full and valid data at the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
