From June 16, 2022, restrictions on entry into Russia on common grounds have been lifted for citizens of all foreign states and stateless persons. As per the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation №1267 of July-14 2022 [text of the Decree], Russia has completely lifted the remaining Covid-related restrictions on crossing the state borders.
Starting July 15th, 2022, foreign citizens and stateless can now enter Russia by any checkpoints (air, automobile, marine, pedestrian, rail and mixed checkpoints) from any country if they have a valid Russian visa of any type. This means that all international travelers are able to enter by land without any additional grounds.
As of 21 October 2022, proof of a negative PCR test is no longer required to enter Russia. All COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
Foreign nationals have to complete the form before entering the country; however, the document is also handed out by the cabin crew.
Travellers may be subject to random testing on arrival.
The Decree №635-R of March-16 2020 [text of the Decree] with the list of the permitted foreign states citizens and legal residents of which can enter Russia during coronavirus pandemic is no longer in effect as of 15.07.2022.
As of 01.03.2022 air travel is suspended until further notice between the countries mentioned below:
- Anguilla (British Overseas Territory)
- British Virgin Islands
- Great Britain
- Denmark + Greenland + Faroe Islands + Territorial Sea
