You can simply and quickly obtain such invitation. In order to do it you need to make a request to a travel agency authorized in the Federal tourism agency (it’s proved by the presence of the its own reference number).
Travel agency’s employees will spend no more than 1 hour in order to create and print such invitation. All the tourist invitations are printed on the travel agencies’ letterheads, that’s why their appearance may differ. But it must be of 2 parts: tourist voucher and tourist invitation confirmation.
When travel agency’s employees create and issue a tourist invitation letter to Russia, they do not check any data, given by a Tanzanian citizen. Inasmuch Tanzania is in the List of High Migration Risk countries (Tanzanian citizens, who left their homeland, are not in hurry to return), so the presence of a tourist invitation does not guarantee the issuance of a tourist visa. In order to obtain it, you need to prove in the consular section that your purpose of a visit is only tourism and sightseeing.
Usually tourist visa issues for the period indicated in the invitation letter, but it cannot exceed 30 days. Tourist visas are for single or double entries.

Russian private (homestay) visa for Tanzanian citizens
If Tanzanian citizen wants to visit Russia to meet his relatives or friends, he needs to apply for a homestay visa. In order to do it, it is necessary to obtain a homestay invitation letter to Russia. It must be issued by a person living in the Russian Federation.
In order to issue such invitation for Tanzanian citizen, a person living in the Russian Federation needs to contact the Federal Migration Service section on his residence’s administrative unit. He needs to submit a homestay invitation application there and a list of documents, among which must be a copy of his passport and his guest’s as well as incoming statement and a guarantee letter, in which he commits to provide for a foreign citizen all the necessary for the living in Russia during his stay in the country. Besides that, a person, who invites a citizen from a high migration risk country, must pass an interview with FMS officer, during which inviting person needs to justify necessity of Tanzanian citizen’s visit to Russia.

Consideration of such application takes 12 work days for the single entry and 17 days for the double. In case of refusal, it will be in written form with indicated reasons. In case of positive solution, a homestay invitation letter will be issued on the FMS letterhead. It should be sent to an invited person by express mail.
After Tanzanian citizen receives a homestay invitation, he need to contact Russian consular section and submit all necessary documents for the visa issuance and the original homestay invitation. In case of positive solution, homestay visa will be issued to a Tanzanian citizen for up to 90 days. It is for single or double entries.

Tanzanian citizen need to apply for a business visa, if he plans to visit Russia to take a part in a conference or auction, to discuss the terms of a contract or to sign a contract. Business invitation letter, which is necessary to obtain such visa, needs to be issued by an organization authorized in Russia.

The business visa invitation letter can be obtained by either of these ways:

A business invitation in the form of a letter cannot be issued by any organization, but those, which have an accreditation in the Consular department of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Russia or in the FMS, can do it. In such letter, the head of an organization requests a business visa issuance for the certain foreign citizen.
In order to obtain a business invitation on the FMS letterhead for a foreign citizen, a representative of an organization needs to submit an application and a guarantee letter (it is necessary because Tanzania is in the List of High migration risk countries). The consideration of such application takes 12-17 work days. During this time Tanzanian citizen is being checked for the unpaid fines or deportations from Russia. If such cases took place, an issuance of a business invitation will be refused. If everything is fine and all other documents are okay, Tanzanian citizen will obtain the business invitation on the FMS letterhead.
Telex – is an order from the Ministry of foreign affairs, which is given through the special communication channel to the Russian consular section abroad. Russian work visa for Tanzanian citizens
Tanzanian citizen needs to spend a lot of time to obtain Russian work visa. In order to arrive to Russia and get a job, Tanzanian citizen needs to preliminary find an employer company authorized in the Russian Federation.

Russian Electronic Visa from Tanzania
An electronic visa (hereinafter referred to as "e-visa") is a new type of a visa document. A visa invitation to Russia is not required for obtaining an e-visa. To obtain an e-visa to Russia use our “E-visa to Russia” service.
An e-visa can be only single-entry. The permitted stay in Russia on an e-visa is up to 8 days from the date of entry within its validity period.
The validity period and/ or permitted stay on an e-visa cannot be extended. To obtain an e-visa a foreign citizen needs a digital passport photo and a completed application form containing full and valid data at the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
