Steaming in the authentic Siberian Wooden Banya in log house with samovar tea drinking ceremony
This excursion may become a real highlight of the whole trip to Siberia. While Japan has its ryokans and green tea ceremony, Bedouins welcome guests to their tents offering them coffee, and Turkey is famous for hamam and apple tea, Siberia can offer you a typical and authentic experience that traces its roots to the most known and successful invention of our Russian ancestors – the Banya (Steam-house). You will visit a real log (wooden) house and a professional attendant will walk you through all the stages of this “ancient spa”: warming up, lying on wooden benches, steaming and massage with birch branches, and herbal inhalation. At the end, you will participate in the samovar tea ceremony, and your hosts will treat you to Siberian honey and homemade berry jams. This is an experience that is not to be missed while in Novosibirsk!
