Russian private (homestay) visa for Togolese citizens
Togolese citizen, who wants to visit his friends or relatives living in the Russian Federation, needs to apply for a homestay visa in Russian embassy, where he will need a list of documents, among which must be a homestay invitation. An inviting party living in Russia should issue and send him such invitation.
In order to obtain a homestay invitation for a Togolese citizen, an individual living in the Russian Federation needs to submit an application in the Federal Migration Service section and submit a copy of his and invited foreigner’s passport, his incoming statement, a receipt of state duty payment, a guarantee letter and other documents. In the guarantee letter, a person who wants to invite a Togolese citizen, commits to provide him an accommodation, medical care and livelihood for the whole period of a foreign citizen’s stay in Russia under a homestay visa.

An invitation of a foreigner imposes another one obligation: if an invited foreigner does not leave Russia on time, then his deportation must be paid by an inviting person. Besides that, because of Togo is in the List of High Migration Risk countries, an inviting person need to pass an interview with a FMS officer.
